What are the system requirements for Odoo 20?

Odoo 20 raises the baseline. Python 3.12 or higher is required (up from 3.10 in older releases). PostgreSQL 16 or higher is required (up from 13). The pgvector extension is required if you want to use the Enterprise AI and RAG features. wkhtmltopdf 0.12.6 is still supported for PDF reports, with paper-muncher 0.6+ available as an alternative. OEC.sh configures all of this for you automatically on new Odoo 20 deployments.

Can I upgrade from Odoo 19 directly to Odoo 20?

Yes. The jump from Odoo 19 to Odoo 20 is a one major-version step, so community modules usually just need a recompile and config review. For now, this is a manual or vendor-assisted upgrade: our own automated migration engine ceiling stays at Odoo 19 through Q1 and Q2 2027 while we validate v20 database patterns. Pro and Agency customers can request migration help from the OEC.sh team in the meantime.

A unified pricelist engine covers sales, subscriptions, and rentals in one place. The payroll module is rebuilt with a warning dashboard, net-to-gross simulation, and the removal of work entries.

Does Odoo 20 have an LTS designation?

No. Odoo does not label Odoo 20 as LTS. Odoo supports the three most recent major releases, so 20, 19, and 18 are all currently supported, and Odoo 17 is now out of standard support. The AI runs as an agent you ask to perform a task. Before any state change is written to the database, the user explicitly approves the action. Conversation history is retained for 30 days, so the agent remembers context across a work session. Agents can also be called from scheduled actions, so you can wire them into recurring back-office jobs. Enterprise AI features need the pgvector extension installed on PostgreSQL.

For Enterprise, you provide the license and code from Odoo SA. Unlike Odoo.sh, there is no mandatory Enterprise subscription attached to OEC.sh.

For PostgreSQL 16 and pgvector, pick a server with enough memory for your AI feature set. 4 vCPU and 8 GB RAM is a reasonable starting point for a 10 to 50 user Odoo 20 deployment with AI features enabled.
